Our
Purpose
Imani Community Church, AME—"purpose-driven" church mission is
solidified by her commitment to the five foundational biblical
purposes:
1. "Love the Lord with all of your heart," through Worship;
2. "Love your neighbor as yourself," through Ministry;
3. "Go and make disciples," spiritual and congregation growth
through Evangelism;
4. "Baptize them," through Fellowship;
5. "Teach them to obey," through Discipleship.
We invite you as our cherished one to learn about
Imani Community Church. Discover how the church responds to the
spiritual and physical needs of the community based upon the Great
Commission of Jesus—Matthew 29:19-20, and the Great Commandment of
Jesus— Matthew 22:37-40, and learn about our ministries in your

Our
Vision
The Imani "Community" Church is called to be a community of God’s
caring people growing to become a 2,000+ member, full service faith
community. Imani provides a vibrant Christian ministry seven days
per week. We provide a spirit-filled worship, the Christian
Sacraments, outreach ministry in the community to meet the needs of
God’s people, and ministries to meet every human need for adults and
children. Imani offers personal, spiritual, biblical, and
theological development. All that Imani is, and does, is through
Christ Jesus.

Our
Mission
The mission of Imani "Community" Church is to BE DISCIPLES and to
MAKE DISCIPLES of God’s people. Imani "Community" Church will
witness to the salvation of God and to minister to God’s people. The
mission is thereby a “cross-shaped” mission--relationship to God
(vertical), and relationship one to another (horizontal). Imani’s
work in God’s earthly kingdom will aid in the transformation of the
world as Jesus demonstrated through his earthly ministry.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
—Matthew 29:19-20.
