Imani Community Church “Fishes and Loaves” Food Pantry
Ministry Purpose
Welcome to the Imani Community Church “Fishes and Loaves” Food Pantry.
The ICC Food Pantry demonstrates Christian love in a basic and practical way. Like those that Jesus fed long centuries ago, each of us, in some manner and at some point in our lives, have received that kind of love, caring and warmth that Jesus provided. We want our ministry to be a reflection of the love we have for our community and to be an encouragement to families we serve to grow closer to God. It is our prayer that the gift you receive from us will enable you to overcome some of the hardships you may be facing.
Ministry Description
We provide basic foods to those in need of assistance. Packaged foods are always available as well as some non-edible items. Fresh and frozen foods are offered when available. The ICC food pantry is pleased to provide you and your family with temporary assistance. The ICC Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry does not provide financial assistance, gas money, vouchers or assistance with rent or utilities which may be available from time to time from the Imani Church.
Imani Community Church provides emergency aid for as many families as possible monthly who are in need of short-term assistance. 2008 is our first year of providing aid with food as a pantry, but could not do so without our Imani Community Church family; as all items that you have received today are donations from our members complying with requirements of our source of provisions, the Capital Area Food Bank.
The Food Pantry is open weekly on Wednesday 6-7PM, Saturday noon to 2 PM. You are welcome to come.
To receive assistance, you must provide:
- your name, address, phone number
- social security number
- the number of persons in your household
- bring a photo I.D., and if that does not have your current address on it, we will need to see a document with your current address, such as a bill, a piece of mail, or a rent agreement.
