Imani Community Church “Fishes and Loaves” Food Pantry

Ministry Purpose

Welcome to the Imani Community Church “Fishes and Loaves” Food Pantry.

The ICC Food Pantry demonstrates Christian love in a basic and practical way. Like those multitudes that Jesus fed long centuries ago, each of us, in some manner and at some point in our lives, have received that kind of love, caring and warmth that Jesus provided. We want our ministry to be a reflection of the love we have for our community and to be an encouragement to families we serve to grow closer to God. It is our prayer that the gift you receive from us will enable you to overcome some of the hardships you may be facing.

What We Do

We provide basic foods to those in need of assistance. Packaged foods are always available as well as some non-edible items. Fresh and frozen foods are offered when available. The ICC food pantry is pleased to provide you and your family with temporary assistance. The ICC Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry does not provide financial assistance, gas money, vouchers or assistance with rent, housing or utilities which may be available from time to time from the Imani Church.

Imani Community Church provides emergency aid for as many families as possible monthly who are in need of short-term assistance. Since our first year of providing aid with food as a pantry in 2008, we could not have done so without our Imani Community Church family; as all items that you have received today are donations from our members complying with requirements of our source of provisions. Our newest sponsor in 2010 is the Austin Area Interreligious Ministries Crop Walk for Hunger and the Capital Area Food Bank.

The Food Pantry is open weekly on Wednesday 6-7:30PM, the fourth Saturday 9:30AM to Noon. You may call to arrange other times for emergency food pickup. You are welcome to come.

To receive assistance, you must provide:

  1. Your name, address, phone number
  2. The number of persons in your household
  3. A photo I.D., and if your identification does not include your current address, please provide an official document with your current address, such as a utility bill, a piece of mail, or a ; lease agreement.
  4. Complete this form and bring with you to the “Fishes and Loaves” Pantry

We appreciate the Food Pantry funding from the Crop Walk for Hunger, of the Austin Area Interreligious Ministries
